The idea for EM Grid came while I was embroidering sixty polo shirts for my niece's cheerleading team. It was taking longer to mark the shirts with a ruler than to embroider them! If the ruler was off center even a smidgen, the name was crooked and the shirt had to be redone.

I was also tasked with embroidering a design on the backside of the shirt that should have lined up with the name. This proved difficult to do perfectly on that many shirts, so I began to dream of a way to make the process easier. I needed to mark both sides at the same time to keep the design straight. EM Grid was born from practicality and my want to produce great work for my customers.
